劇团工力二人

「劇团工力二人」成立於2007年11月11日，為政府注冊非牟利表演團體，以獨立形式運作。由畢業於香港演藝學院戲劇學院並曾接受功夫訓練的三位劇場工作者－蘇育輝、葉榮煌及賴建發等核心成員共同創立，並擔綱聯合「創‧团人」。

「劇团工力二人」的信念是「享受」創作過程，希望能藉著每次的有機創作，於劇場創作中注入獨特的思維、內容與形式，尋找劇場創作的一個新方向。作為一個藝術創作單位，我們有著對劇場藝術的抱負和追求，同時希望能不斷吸納新生命，與不同的藝術工作者合作，不斷融合發展改變；像香港一樣，是一個多種族世界主義者的地方，它有傳統的背景但又有其包容性，願意不斷兼融和創新。 這種生命力是承接了傳統再以留舊添新的過程呈現。香港這地方像是沒根，但恰恰它是多根文化，有它獨特的文化函養。「劇团工力二人」亦會以這樣的生存形態不斷蛻變和成長，為香港的劇場藝術注入新動力。

「劇团工力二人」，英文名稱 "action3actors"。「工力二人」源自於「功夫」二字分拆而成，寓意能打破傳統框架而有所創新。藝術創作很多時候在於有機的選擇及重新組合，「工力二人」代表重新賦予功夫一種新注繹。而凡有功夫者，必經過千錘百鍊而成；我們希望所創作的作品，是要經過各方面下苦功，才能有成果。劇場裡所有媒體，在重新組成和注入新元素、新意念後，會有嶄新的可能性出現。

「action3actors」即三個動作演員的組合。"3actors " 與 "Theatre" 發音近似，取其 「action theatre」與 「劇团工力二人」之意合。

"action3actors" was formed on November 11, 2007. It is an independent, government registered non-profit making performance troupe. Its founding core members-- Ben So, Guthrie Yip and Alpha Lai--are graduates of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and have been training in the martial arts.

"action3actors" believes in enjoying the creative process. With our creative brainstorms, we aim to shoot for a new direction in theatre-making; infusing it with unique thinking, content and form. As a creator of art, we are dedicated to perfecting our artform, while keeping open to the prospects of taking new turns in our work through collaborations with different art-makers. This echos the vibes of Hong Kong, which as a city maintains a rich traditional background while attracting a myriad of cultures and races, all mingling to create new possibilities. We see this as a revival of the old with the new. To many, Hong Kong may seem like a culture without its roots, but we see its virtue in its embrace of various lifestyles and traditions. "action3actors" will strive to thrive in the name of this virtue, so we may bring new energies to Hong Kong's theatre scene.

Our Chinese name, 「劇团工力二人」, has taken apart (工力二人) the two Chinese characters representing kung fu (功夫), to symbolize our aspiration to evolve over time through traditional boundaries. Many a time, art-making is about choosing and reconstructing to create new meanings, and 工力二人 represents a new connotation to kung fu (功夫). There is kung fu in any discipline when effort and perseverance is put into regular practice: we hope our future work will be representative of just that. With proper reconstruction and instillation of new elements, we believe all media in the theatrical world is moldable and can take on a new look.

"action3actors" denotes the combined effort of three "movement actors", and "3actors" was taken for the closeness of its pronunciation to "theatre". Action theatre is what we do.
